The Generalitat and the University of Alicante have signed a cooperation agreement enabling students to undertake external academic placements at the Fundació Comunitat Valenciana-Regió Europea. Secretary for Relations with the EU, Pablo Broseta, and Rector Amparo Navarro stressed that the initiative will help students apply their academic knowledge, strengthen their professional skills and enhance their employability. The agreement will run for four years, with the possibility of a further four-year extension.
The meeting also reviewed the University of Alicante’s bid to host the European Diplomatic Academy, submitted to the EU last January. The Valencian Government regards this proposal as a strategic opportunity for the region.
Pablo Broseta recalled that the project was the focus of his first official act and emphasised the need to establish a roadmap to promote a candidacy that, being the only one submitted at national level, could have a significant impact both for the Comunitat Valenciana and for Spain as a whole.
